Some may call it agressive, in the face, street photography, but when you’re in a city that is equally aggressive in using its lights to shine its nightscape, I think “flashbulb street photography” is well suited for the nightscapes of NYC. All of these pictures were taken with a Nikon D5100, built in flash (no external flash need for the flashbulb street photography technique) and the 18-55mm VR kit lens! No, but seriously, that lens really isn’t that bad at all.
